Storytelling sessions
We create and lead a variety of bespoke storytelling sessions, online and in person.
We collaborate with a range of organisations to do this work, including Manchester University, Southway Housing, Chorlton High School, Manchester City Council, Economic and Social Research Council and Trafford Housing, creating a range of outcomes, including audio recordings, book creation and live events.
Here is an example of one style of storytelling work we do in the community: https://storiesofourlivesnow.org/ This is an intergenerational community-building project in South Manchester where people reminisce on and exchange memories, forming deeper connections with themselves and others. Here is a little video illustrating some of that.
We also lead open mic night real-life storytelling sessions like the series called 'Parable'. These were held monthly, over a period of a year at Ascension Hulme, providing people with a chance to share their stories on a different theme each month, in front of a supportive audience. https://ascensionchurchhulme.co.uk/whats-on/parable
